A chat with the women who run a truly women-only swim session in NZ.
This swim session is for female bodies only. That's the only requirement, and the women who go to it thrive.
This chat with Ali and Carmel from Napier NZ really brings home the enormous value for women - and by extension their families and communities - of a truly women-only swim session. It’s not ‘special treatment’ for women to have a swim session which no men can attend, however those men might identify. The benefits of women gaining the confidence to go about in public are more expansive than just to themselves, and that often starts in women-only spaces.

That is so good to hear! I wish we had this in Christchurch 🙄
Hope some TRA from Wellington (no prizes for guessing who!) doesn’t read this post and try to get the session shut down…
