Thanks, Yvonne - it’s easy to underestimate just how much we’ve all done in the last few years. It’s been enormous, especially considering the hostile environment we’ve had to do it in.

On ACC I think the 'injury' has to be reported within 12 months for ACC cover.

In which case, a person harmed from puberty blockers would either have to suck it up, or try litigation, once the harm became evident.

From overseas experience it seems that 5 years is the rien around time

As an ex-ACCer I'll check with a source...bit rusty, it was last C. As of today I don't think that's right...never used to be.

12 months for bog-standard injuries, of which medical misadventure is NOT. 'Complicated' claims for process injuries, sexual abuse, occupational disease clearly do not get assessed under this limit.

Its going to take years and many court cases before the govt admits GAC is medical misadventure

Was always a tough 'ask'. The Med Mis test used to have to be outside the usual scope of error or accident in a clinical setting...rare & unusual in other words. This is treatment in the nature of 'best practice' of the time...bigger legal brains than mine would be brought to bear.

It's unbelievable that the watershed moment of NZ women getting the right to vote first in the world is not allowed to be acknowledged exactly where it should be! It is talked about regularly around the world depicting NZ as the forerunner it was and should definitely be remembered in every way possible! I will sign and so will my partner.

I appreciate this summary, thanks Katrina. It's easy for our progress to seem lost or diminished in the unrelenting trans-clapping.

What has been achieved in 2025, is the exposure of the harms to women and children of 'trans-monstering' reaching more of the 'too busy to bother'. The obvious fact is, that the vast majority of people who already knew trans was a nonsense, now see it as a harmful ideological movement, not just a ridiculous fad to be mocked.

I will make an effort to get more signatures for your petition.
