In a shocking disregard for gender ideology, NZ’s Minister of Health uses the words ‘woman’, ‘mother’, and ‘baby’ in a public health message.
The Midwifery Council may need therapy for this assault of correct words on their senses.
It was a fearless display of courage, the like of which hasn’t been seen for a while. NZ’s Minister of Health, Simeon Brown, boldly used correct language to talk about women, mothers, and babies in a public health message¹. With utter disregard to the gobbledygook language dictated by the tub-thumpers for gender ideology, he brazenly issued a message that everyone understood.
It would behove the Midwifery Council to take notes.
A cost comparison between Simeon Brown’s public message and the Midwifery Council’s revised Scope of Practice, which has been wrangled over for the last few years because of its ridiculous woke language, would be most interesting. The revised Scope of Practice has about 100 more words in it than Simeon Brown’s message, but has cost hundreds of thousands of dollars to date. Precisely how many dollars is difficult to ascertain, but it’s likely the average person could buy the best part of a house in Auckland with what has been wastefully spent on it.
The controversy over the Scope of Practice drags on, whereas Simeon Brown’s message is done and dusted. Whatever feelings may get hurt from not using the language of gender ideology are not as important as having a simple and direct message, which the most number of people can understand in the shortest practicable time.
Could we ever have imagined years ago how grateful we’d be just for women to be called ‘women’, and not “individuals (however they may identify) who are capable of childbearing”, as the Midwifery Council prefers to use in their Scope of Practice? Men, of course, have not had to battle in the same way that women have just to be called ‘men’. Even so, a recent email promoting Movember struggled to refer only to men in relation to prostate cancer, which only men get. It dropped a couple of ‘people’ in there, too, presumably for the men who say they’re women and don’t want to be called men.
Perhaps the Movember ‘people’ could copy Simeon Brown and grow a pair, as well as a moustache for Movember.

I know it’s poor form to 💙 a post based on the title…. But this title was the best thing I’ve read today 🤗
When women can't get timely treatment for breast cancer, the Carries of this world can get a double mastectomy on us, the taxpayer immediately. Her change has only happened in the last few years. She has joined everything going from being a married housewife, a divorcee, a lesbian, to having children as a solo lesbian mother and now this latest iteration. She's never fitted in anywhere. Was one of the screaming pot banging idiots at Albert Park when KJK came.
