Trans ideology fundamentalists are in charge in NZ’s teachers' union, and associated organisations.
The situation is dire, but many fear to speak out. Listen to one who isn't afraid.
Unsurprisingly in today’s climate, semi-retired teacher, CJ, has to remain anonymous for now when talking about the wholesale capture by trans ideology fundamentalists in the Post Primary Teachers Assn (PPTA), the Teaching Council, the NZ Qualifications Authority (NZQA), and the Ministry of Education (MoE).
Listening to CJ’s interview with Leah Panapa on The Platform, what does surprise is that Erica Stanford, the Minister of Education, has been able to make the inroads she has into removing trans ideology components in the proposed new Relationships Sexuality Education guidelines for schools. I can only imagine the resistance from all the above-named organisations she must have had when doing that.
CJ works as a short- and long-term relief teacher, and says that the PPTA, the Teaching Council, the NZQA, and MoE are all captured by trans ideology “no exceptions”. She says the fear amongst teachers of speaking out against the appalling trans’ policies entrenched in these organisations, and risking job loss, disciplinary action, or de-registration, is palpable to her.
As someone near the end of her career, CJ decided that she could be the one to speak out on behalf of all the younger teachers coming to her with their concerns, once they knew she was willing to do so. This is an observable pattern now, where older people are oftentimes the only ones who can afford to be fearless when speaking out against bad trans ideology policies, laws, and regulations.
In all these organisations, there’s also a pattern of younger women who are the ones driving trans ideology into policies. CJ opines that many of them are university educated in the subjects of sociology and gender studies, which, in the way they’re now taught, gives a false perception of feminism.
Unbeknownst to young women, feminism in universities has actually been bastardised into forMENism, compliments of transactivists, and young women soak that up in the tragic belief it’s liberating.
Sadly, CJ foresees the real possibility of a drop off in people wanting to be teachers, due to these policies being forced onto them, which they can see are egregious. One bright spot is the kids, though, as more and more question trans ideology, or simply don’t buy it. During one senior class, a student asked if it’s possible to change one’s sex, to which CJ said no, and explained the biological impossibility of that. At the end of her explanation, the students gave her a standing ovation.
As expected from a teacher, CJ talks clearly and concisely, whilst still managing to give salient details. A very worthwhile listen, even if we’re not teachers.
Semi Retired Teacher CJ Says PPTA Has Been Captured By Trans Activists
On another subject, also of note is a recent study by Stats for Gender, which shows the deleterious affects on females who take testosterone. This is pertinent in light of NZ’s mainstream media going absolutely apeshit over the government’s recent announcement about restricting puberty blockers for gender-distressed kids. Although puberty blockers aren’t testosterone, roughly 98% of children who take them go on to take cross-sex hormones. For girls, this means testosterone.

Excellent column, Katrina.
I agree that "what does surprise is that Erica Stanford, the Minister of Education, has been able to make the inroads she has into removing trans ideology components in the proposed new Relationships Sexuality Education guidelines for schools."
She was presumably acting with the full backing of Winston Peters in Cabinet, but she is the one who has taken much of the heat. So that's a huge achievement for her to have persevered.
It's worth remembering that the NZF-National coalition agreement includes:
"Refocus the curriculum on academic achievement and not ideology, including the removal and replacement of the gender, sexuality, and relationship-based education guidelines."
The PPTA says it speaks for all teachers but the members have never been asked “do you agree that humans can change sex?”
