Tune in tonight at 7.30pm NZT, to hear me talk about the 'mixed-sex' women's session at Linwood Pool, Christchurch.
Tonight, Tues 23 May NZT, at 7.30pm I'll be a guest on the Real Women NZ livestream on their FB page to talk about the Linwood Pool in Christchurch, which allows men into the women's session if they say they're women.

Leah, from Invercargill, will be a co-guest, and will talk about the recently highlighted situation there, too, where their council allows men into the women's changing room at the pool, also simply upon their own say-so that they’re women.
Check out the ‘Why we have women’s swimming sessions’ on the Christchurch City Council’s website, and see how any of it squares with having men in the session. The only way it makes any ‘sense’ is if the council takes the liberty of giving some words new meanings in order to fit their agenda.
Like everywhere, we have been stymied and silenced in our objection to what is ostensibly making women’s spaces ‘mixed-sex’, but a couple of breakthroughs have happened recently. One is Invercargill’s recent rambunctious meeting with council staff, which around 100 members of the public attended, both women and men, who don’t like the new policy of allowing men into the women’s changing rooms at the Smash Palace pool. This made it into mainstream media. In Christchurch, a small local media outlet also published a piece on the Linwood Pool women’s session situation.
If you can make it, see you tonight at 7.30pm NZT. It will be available for later viewing, as well.
Here is a time zone converter for those outside of New Zealand who may wish to tune in to the livestream.
Mind-blowing that we are perceived as bigots for protecting women physically and psychologically in female only safe spaces where we are vulnerable
This is abuse against female rights to be free from harm and uphold our dignity. I cannot believe we are having to fight for our rights to sex segregated spaces!
