I’m sure it wasn’t meant to be in the nature of a gift, but when New Zealand’s mainstream media reported on our new coalition government’s policy to restrict public funding to sporting bodies who can’t – or rather, pretend they can’t – tell the difference between females and males, it came right in time for some Christmas cheer.
I predict that, alternative solutions will not be taken up by men who want to play in Women's sports because alternatives will mean a bigger chance of losing. Thus proving that men want to be in Women's sports because they are aware of the advantage they have over women and they don't care about hurting women physically or otherwise.
Only someone mentally ill claims to need to adopt womanhood for themselves and at the same time destroy womanhood on the sports field.

She willing put her name to the sickening Transgender Policy last year. As a sports professional she knew beyond a shadow of doubt that it was always ridiculous and unfair.
The inadequate men in tasteless clownface and ill chosen frocks have got their weird ways too long and even invaded snooker, chess etc it will be tiddlywinks next ...but maybe not their knikers may get in a twist over the position!
Men need to excluded from all women's sports, because as soon as we open the door to just one women's sport to one man, there'll be a barrage of them knocking at the door to all women's sports. As has happened.
I agree wholeheartedly with the legislation but I think there is a misunderstanding of the term ‘Woke’ which simply means one is aware of the difficulties faced by minorities and the disadvantaged. Transgender issues are another matter altogether.
Yes - I believe it was coined by African Americans during their civil rights' struggle? It's frequently used differently now, I realise, but words which don't have a fixed reality can morph to encompass other meanings. I don't use 'woke' just about the trans issue, though - I use it derisively for the whole 'progressively correct' contingent.
This is wonderful news! It's the start of the recognition of biological sex as a factor in fairness in dignity! Hopefully we can start progressing in other areas i.e hospital wards and prisons. The fact that anyone can think someones feelings trump biological reality is truly terrifying. There's a minority of loud squeaky wheels who have literally lost all logic and rational thought.... And for some reason, are dominating the public narrative on this topic - this blows my mind.

Absolutely! I'd like to see Raelene Castle get removed from that position, too.
Let us hope this will help the two smaller parties of this coalition government help keep National supporting the majority and common sense.

Agree wholeheartedly except of course for mixed doubles ( where the parties are aware of SEX of participants as being a factor) in tennis, badminton.
