It is clear from reading this earlier article: https://grahamlinehan.substack.com/p/sex-and-statistics that NZ Stats has been captured for some time now. That something that is meant to be based in numeric accuracy has been reduced to ideology and feelings is frightening and dangerous. Any money spent on any services that where sex is a factor are going to be affected by the results of this census. And since censuses are used to predict the future, here's one from me: the losers are going to be women. The real ones, not the would-be ones.
I can’t help but feel that there needs to be a catastrophe before some will see the light. I recently read a good piece which explained that intelligent people are often the most biased and hardest to change, because they’re cleverer at thinking up rational arguments to convince themselves.

I kind of think that means they're more stupid than the average. Also the arguments have been thought up for them at some round table in Pharmaceutical/IT billionaire land. And then dispensed to the 'left' via Twitter & Facebook.
Also out and about in Dunedin I hardly ever see anyone who is "trans". And nor do I hear anybody sticking up for their "rights" to women's spaces.
I thought Dunedin was a hotbed of the TQ and allies community - lol! I know that Dudley Benson on Twitter is particularly vocal about defending all things TQ.
Where hotbed = 2 of them that I know of one of whom I see quite often (same cafe on a Saturday morning). But I think that he probably doesn't even identify with (most of) the madness. But in normal day to day life they more or less do not exist for any of us.
Dudley & Scout are painful but I don't see them out of election season.
Ah, yes - Scout is another name that crops up from time to time. When Speak Up for Women had a public talk in Dunedin in mid 2021, there was a large crowd of wokesters protesting it. The mayor at the time probably helped to stoke up tensions.
I think they are quite capable of stoking up tensions themselves. Aaron is pretty much useless and believe it or not he and Scout basically stoushed at the local Greens which resulted in her becoming exiled from them (3rd hand I must add, I have nothing to do with the local Greens).
i made a submission too. i knew at the time that i was wasting my time. bloody loonies.

They are a tiny minority.

I was at that public talk btw.
Dudley is not Trans either. He's gay. And in my view on the take.
