Oranga Tamariki NZ (Ministry for Children), and the questions raised on how much gender ideology is embedded there.
I had a chat on my YouTube channel the other day with Di Landy from the Māori women’s group Mana Wāhine Kōrero, about Oranga Tamariki NZ (Ministry for Children), and her discovery of how much gender ideology is embedded there.
Or, should I say her discovery that it couldn’t be discovered how much is embedded there.
Di made an Official Information Act (OIA) request to Oranga Tamariki, seeking information about the number of children in state care who have been supplied with puberty blockers, cross-sex hormones, and breast binders. The reply was that the information wasn’t all recorded and kept in one place - if it was recorded and kept at all - and couldn’t be collated without considerable time and effort, so her request was denied.
This lack of record-keeping in a systematic way for the distribution of medicines and materials to ratify a young person’s ‘gender identity’ seems to be endemic across organisations and healthcare providers in New Zealand. Information about the entire number of young people on puberty blockers in NZ, for example, can only be sourced from Pharmac (New Zealand’s Crown entity that decides which medicines and pharmaceutical products are subsidised for use in the community and public hospitals). No other data about the children and young people themselves appears to be collected and recorded for analysis.
Di and I spend 90 mins delving into this and driving around related matters. She has long since reached the place where she has no time for soft-soaping about gender ideology. It’s a place that many of us have now come to, as well.
Apologies for the less-than-ideal volume when I’m speaking. I’ve had a dig around in my laptop, and found a very naughty volume setting that was only doing 75% of its work. It has been given a talking to and set at 100% now, so fingers crossed it has fixed this issue going forward :-)
Great vid discussion on such an important subject - it's appalling about the lack of available info - methinks TRAs + allies are deliberately obfuscating. Children in state care are already traumatised and very vulnerable to trans conversion as Di said - I was horrified at the lack of qualifications for "Rainbow" hires at OT. Good grief - they are preying on kids who have nowhere else to go - it's a travesty.
remember when they were social welfare? cyfs? every few years, another scandal, another name change. corrupt. to the core.
