Today, I read a couple of articles in quick succession about giving fewer fucks, and kicking kindness to the kerb. Neither article advocates for either of these to be a no-exceptions rule, but both make a strong case for them as worthy attributes. The articles pressed all the right buttons in my brain, and if I wasn’t dedicated to the cause of fewer fucks and kicking kindness to the kerb before, I am now. No more wanton kindness and fucks (in a manner of speaking) – they will be meted out circumspectly. It won’t be too difficult, I have to say, as the ship with most of my fucks on board has long since sailed, anyway. For that, I extend my gratitude to trans activists, who had no mercy in demonstrating just how easy it is to shaft us when we’re ‘kind’.
If you enjoy cross stitching and want to give more fucks to your friends, you can't go past this place: https://subversivecrossstitch.com/products/empty-box-of-fucks I have completed this one (as well as quite a few of her other designs) so I now have my own empty box of fucks if I'm ever told that I need to give one.
I loved the phrase 'kindness is women's kryptonite'. Sooo true but I daren't give it up - I will make an exception for trans activists though.
I agree and understand the important message given here.
One thing though, best to never retaliate with anger - if possible!
Because…
“To be angry is to revenge the faults of others on ourselves” - ( Alexander Pope)

Straight after I'd read this post I went to here.

And right at the bottom there is this;
"Start a discussion, not a fire. Post with kindness. Read our guidelines here."
Those are both absolutely brilliant! Thanks for sharing, Katrina.
😂 Loved your take on this and Milli Hills advice.
