The woke Left in NZ suddenly understands what a woman is - depending on the day of the week.
Those who claim a woman is anyone who says they're one, know the difference between women and men when it suits their agenda.
There’s been much outrage here in New Zealand over the Government’s amendments in early May to the Pay Equity legislation. In brief, they asserted that during the previous Labour Government’s tenure, the parameters for pay equity claims had been made too loose, and some claimants were misusing them, so our present Government has tightened those parameters up. Those who oppose the present Government’s amendments dispute that assertion, and say many women will suffer from pay inequity as a result.

Naturally, there’s a lot more that can be said, and has been said, about the amendments to the Pay Equity legislation from both sides, as well as from the middle ground. However, my own perspective on it is not what I’m sharing today.
Instead, I’m sharing something which pretty much sums up how the woke Left capriciously pivots from day to day between not knowing what a woman is, to knowing exactly what one is. A person who goes by the pseudonym Garwhoungle, and writes a Substack blog called The Ministry has fallen, illustrates this perfectly in the below ‘word picture’. Whatever opinion you hold of the pay equity changes, the sentiment portrayed here nails how the woke Left suddenly knows what a woman is when it suits them -
Game, set, and match to Garwhoungle of behalf of the TERFs.
If, according to the woke Left, a woman is anyone who says they’re one, how can pay equity be measured? Surely, knowing what a woman is would be needed to make a claim for it? What if all the men in a comparator male dominated industry decided to say they were women whilst they were at work, to disprove a pay equity claim by women who weren’t male? Whilst that seems highly unlikely, there’s no law against it - a man can be a woman for ten minutes if he so chooses, according to the woke Left.
The ridiculousness of not having a firm definition for women is on full display by the trade unions who are apoplectic about the amendments to the Pay Equity legislation, and are organising protests about it. On the days they have their protests they seem to know what a woman is, on other days they don’t. They’re not alone, of course, and many of their members are committed to the same TQ ideology that defies all logic. Naturally, they all remain determinedly blind to their demonstrably unstable position of believing a woman is anyone who says they are, whilst at the same time knowing what a woman is when that fits better with their agenda.
All our Government needs to do, I reckon, is ask the trade unions, or other pay equity advocates, to define a woman for any pay equity claims, and - boom! - what a deliciously awkward position some of those claimants would find themselves in. What would they do? Stick to their ‘principles’ by refusing to define a woman as being an adult human female, and abandon their claim - or ditch the dodgy dogma for the money?
And finally, regardless of the day of the week, seeing as the woke Left have difficulty telling the difference between women and men unless genitals are inspected, will pay equity claims now require genital inspections of the employees in both the female and male dominated occupations being compared, to ensure that they really are comparing women and men?

This is precisely what cracked me up when watching the news last night. Chippie criticising the budget saying, "This budget will be remembered as the one that took pay from women." (or words to that effect). A bit strange, I thought, coming from someone that doesn't even know what a woman is!
They know what a woman is, too, when they wish to object to women being allegedly driven off social media and out of politics by misogynistic abuse and threats. They also know when their ideological opponents are women, and hence who to call cunts because misogynistic abuse is ok directed at women who disagree with them.
