A woman here in New Zealand recently had the experience of her local Member of Parliament telling her that he couldn’t quite grasp the fear around having “transgender women” using women’s bathrooms. He apparently hadn’t heard any problems with it locally, and doesn’t know of any evidence of harm to women when men can use their spaces. So, I decided to work on putting together a list of reasons so he, and others, can have it in writing.
It shouldn't need saying, and yet in this upside down world, where feminists are branded as right-wing Nazi's, lesbians are labelled as genital fetishists and transphobes, actual Nazi's are celebrated in the media (and funded by our government), the media is propaganda, truth tellers are decried as "conspiracy theorists", and doctors and nurses are de-registered for practicing ethically we are forced to justify why women deserve to be allowed to participate in society to those who would exclude us in the name of progress. It's difficult to feel good about the current state of Western civilization.
Alice Cooper (full disclosure here...whose music I enjoy and to whose NZ shows I have been) thankfully has (along with many good men) come out publicly to refute the 'fad' of trans and to point out children should not be sexualised and to assert that rape will result ... ( it already has in many countries) when men are allowed to inflict themselves upon what was once 'women's spaces'.
Pretty clear cut yet we now seem to live in a world where defending 2+2=4 is an uphill battle. Feels like we’re in a decline of civilization phase except now it’s on a global scale. I think I need a walk in the woods to unwind (while there are still some woods left).
This current movement is basically a linguistic one - i.e. twisting words around so that they no longer reflect reality, but align with the ideas in some people's heads.
Brilliant article, though it’s sad that it need to be said. I encountered pee all over the seat and floor in a public unisex toilet yesterday. I know damned well that it was a lazy male. It’s almost next to impossible for a woman to do it, unless she’s squatting on the seat. It makes you wonder what these men’s home loos are like. Anyway, I left that toilet and went to another one.
Anyone who has cleaned bathrooms in a restaurant or bar can tell you the women’s is worse. And yeah it’s because they “hover pee” squat over the toilet to avoid touching the seat.
When women and men both use a toilet cubicle, men pee on the toilet seat and floor a lot more than women do. When men use a urinal, they don’t pee on toilet seats.
Again, what’s your experience with this? Obviously in a clean home environment with a handful of people, men are going to leave occasional drips due to their urethra being 3 feet from the toilet.
As far as public restrooms, women’s are always worse. Try it for yourself and see. Men don’t piss on toilet seats because they hate women that’s a paranoid delusion.

The power and volume of the trans narrative has drowned out the good narratives from all others. That's what well-applied propaganda does.
